Election watchdog ADR on Tuesday said out of 276 candidates who switched parties during the 2022 assembly elections in five states, 27 per cent left the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and 13 per cent left the Congress (Congress). The ‘Nal Election Watch and For Waits’ (ADR) selected 276 mixed region and 85 names, air for 2017 to 2022 and Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and weather elections for the years 2017 to 2022.

In the year 2022, 54 out of 276 (20 percent) join the Contemporary Party (SP). An additional 35 (13 per cent) are included in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and an additional 31 (11 per cent) are in the BSP.

It states that out of 85, 32 (38 per cent) have joined the legislature party, 19 (22 per cent) have joined the legislature party and 9 (11 per cent) have joined the legislators.
