According to data shared by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), IndiGo carried 57.06 lakh passengers, which was 54.3% of the domestic market, SpiceJet carried 10.78 lakh passengers in November, accounting for 10.3% of the market share. Was.
Air India, GoFirst (earlier known as GoAir), Vistara, AirAsia India and Alliance Air carried 9.98 lakh, 11.56 lakh, 7.93 lakh, 6.23 lakh and 1.20 lakh passengers respectively in November.
The DGCA noted that SpiceJet’s occupancy rate stood at 86.7% in November. The occupancy rates for IndiGo, Vistara, GoFirst, Air India and AirAsia India were 80.5%, 77%, 78.2%, 82% and 74.6%, respectively, in November.
The aviation sector has been hit hard due to the travel restrictions imposed in India and other countries in the wake of the pandemic.

The DGCA data mentioned that in November 2021, Vistara had an on-time performance of 84.4% across the four metro airports-Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
DGCA said AirAsia India and IndiGo were at the second and third positions in November at these four airports with 82.4% and 80.5% on-time performance, respectively.
