Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai recorded a decline in cases for the third consecutive day on Monday.
The city recorded 13,648 new covid-19 case, 5,826 less than the previous day.
It said the number of infections in Mumbai is now 9,28,220 and the death toll is 16,411.
City Five deaths were also recorded due to the virus.
The total number of tests conducted on Monday stood at 59,242.

Mumbai had reported 19,474 cases on Sunday, slightly less than the 20,318 reported on Saturday.
97 new COVID cases were reported in Mumbai’s slum area Dharavi today and with this, the total active cases in the area touched 943.
On Sunday the state government revised COVID-19Related restrictions for gyms and beauty salons, allowing them to operate at 50 percent capacity from January 11.
The state government has announced closure of schools and colleges till February 15. The government had also decided to cap attendance at marriages and social, religious, cultural or political functions at 50.
