The Kozhikode Corporation is planning 16 street vending zones across the city to rehabilitate licensed street vendors in the city. The vending zones are aligned in such a way that they do not disturb the smooth flow of traffic or block pedestrians. Meanwhile, the Corporation has identified 2,812 street vendors in its survey, of whom 1,952 have taken part in the camps organised in connection with the street vending zone project.
