The Kerala Police on Friday detained a 31-year-old man after his wife, a model and actor were allegedly hanged at their residence near Kozhikode. Police said 20-year-old Shahana, who was a model and an actor, was found hanging at her residence on Thursday night.
“We were informed about the incident on Thursday night. Till now, we have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC,” police told PTI.
Police have taken Sajjad into custody, against whom Shahana’s family has leveled several charges, including assault and murder. Shahana’s mother told media channels that Sajjad used to torture her daughter.
ACP Sudarshan told the media, “We have got information that they had a fight over the check received for modeling. He says that he hanged himself on the window. We are probing whether his actions were the cause of death.” was enough.”
