As per the details of the case, parmar In January 2021, on the pretext of marriage, took the girl to her house in Jamnagar and took her Jodhpur In Rajasthan. While living in Jodhpur, the accused raped her several times for about three months.
Meanwhile, the girl’s parents lodged a complaint of kidnapping with the police at Panch B Division police station in Jamnagar. When the police were probing the case, they got information that the accused had brought the girl to a private hospital for examination as she was pregnant.
While they were returning home, the police caught Parmar and rescued the girl.
The girl told the police that the accused raped her several times in the three months when they were living together. She said that Parmar had also raped her before taking her to Jodhpur. Whenever he found her alone in his house, he would sexually abuse her.
The girl further told the police that Parmar had threatened to embarrass her family if she complained to the police.
During the trial, the court found Parmar guilty under sections of kidnapping, rape and POCSO on the basis of documentary evidence produced by the prosecution.
