Though design-wise, the Royal Enfield hasn’t strayed much from the outgoing model, there are some changes in the details. The most significant changes are the new engine and chassis, which is shared with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The new Classic 350 is the second new Royal Enfield motorcycle to be based on the new J-series engine. Prices start at ₹ 1.84 Lakh (ex-showroom), and go up to ₹ 2.15 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Chrome variant. 1. New J-Series 350 cc Engine
The 349 cc, single-cylinder engine produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The compression ratio has changed from 8.5:1 on the UCE 350 engine to 9.5:1 on the new 350 cc SOHC engine. The cam gear has been replaced with a timing chain with a SOHC system, resulting in less noise and more efficient valve timing. The chain primary drive has been replaced with a gear primary drive, which minimizes transmission loss, and the primary balancer shaft reduces vibration on the engine.

2. New Dual-Downtube Chassis
The new suspension offers better ride quality, and the dual-cradle chassis offers better dynamics. Overall, the new Classic 350 offers the rider better stability and more confidence, and a plusher and more comfortable ride than the outgoing model.

3. Updated suspension, new wheels and brakes
Suspension now includes a 41 mm front fork, with more travel on the dual rear shocks to offer a better ride. The 19-inch front and 18-inch wheels are also thicker, with thicker rubber, with a 100mm front section tire and a 120mm section rear tire. The brakes now get bigger discs (300 mm front, 270 mm rear) and better calipers as compared to the outgoing model. Alloy wheels with tubeless tyres have been given in the dark variant shown above.
4. Better Ground Clearance
The seat height is 805 mm, and the ground clearance is 170 mm, which is 35 mm higher than the previous generation model. The curb weight is 195 kg, which is the same as before, but still 4 kg more than the Meteor 350.
5. Variants and Colors
2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is available in 5 variants and 11 color options. Prices for the single-channel ABS Redditch variant start at ₹ 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to ₹ 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Chrome variant, which is the only variant to get optional tripper navigation. Is. The Classic 350 Dark variant is the only option with pod alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
