2022 multibagger stock sets record date for dividend for FY 2021-22

With a market valuation of Rs. 4,027.31 crore, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited is a small-cap corporation dealing in the gas and petroleum industry. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), one of the top group companies of IndianOil, is presently one of the public sector refining enterprises in India, manufacturing a wide variety of petroleum products.

The board of directors of the company in a regulatory filing said that “the company has fixed Wednesday, August 10”, 2022 as the “record date” to determine the eligibility of the members to receive an equity dividend of Rs.2.00. per share (ie @ 20% on paid-up equity share capital) for the financial year 2021-22. The dividend, if approved by the members at the AGM, shall be paid within the stipulated period of 30 days from the date of its approval.”

Shares of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd closed today 270.50 each, down 2.33% from the previous close of 276.95. share price climbed 114.55 at its current level during the previous year as on August 4, 2021, represents a multibagger return of 136.14 per cent. share price has climbed 103.30, as on January 3, 2022, at current levels based on YTD, represents a multibagger return of 161.86 per cent so far in 2022. the price has gone up 113.40 as on February 4, 2022, at the current level during the last six months, represents a multibagger return of 138.54 per cent. The stock has fallen 9.70 per cent in the last one month and 3.84 per cent in the last five trading days.

at the current price level of 270.50, the stock is trading 35.26 per cent down from its 52-week low and 186.39 per cent above its 52-week low on NSE, where it hit a 52-week high. 417.85 on 08-Jun-22 and 52-week low of 94.45 on 24-Feb-22. 9,76,227 shares were traded on NSE today, which is equal to the trading price of 2,657.97 lakh. The average volume for the last 20 days is 2,739,975 shares. at the current market price of 270.50 Stock is trading lower than 5 Day, 10 Day, 20 Day, 50 Day EMA but above 100 Days and 200 Days Exponential Moving Average (EMA).
