TVS Motor Company has introduced the updated iQube electric scooter for the 2022 model year. The model comes with extensive upgrades including a better range, more features and better performance. The 2022 TVS iQube has been introduced in three variants – iCube, iQube S and iQube ST. Prices for the new iCube range start at ₹98,564 for the standard variant, going up to ₹1.09 lakh for the iCube S. The prices for the iQube ST are yet to be revealed. Bookings for iQube and iQube S have started in 33 existing cities where the scooter is currently available for sale. TVS says that it plans to add 52 more cities soon and pre-bookings for the iQube ST are open in all 85 cities for Rs 999.

The 2022 TVS iQube has the same styling but gets new gloss and matte color options
The updated TVS iCube line-up gets 10 new color options including Shining Red, Titanium Grey, Mercury Grey, Copper Bronze, Lucid Yellow, Starlight Blue, Coral Sand, Mint Blue and Copper Bronze Matte and Titanium Gray Matte. The design language remains the same while the company has optimized the riding posture for better comfort. The under-seat storage capacity has also been improved and measures 17 liters on the iCube and iQube S, while the iCube ST gets 31 liters of space. It also rides on wider 90/90 12-inch tires.
The 2022 TVS iQube range continues to use an energy-efficient hub motor with low noise. It comes with ReGen technology that allows up to 10 percent of energy and maximum extent to be recovered. Throttle response has also been smoothed out.
The range has been significantly improved to 100 km on the standard variant and up to 140 km on the iQube ST variant
The updated iCube features new generation 21700 Lithium-Ion cells with indigenous Battery Management System (BMS) and Thermal Management System. The company claims a range of 100 km on a single charge on the Standard and S variants, while the iQube ST offers a range of 140 km on a single charge. TVS says that there is no reduction in acceleration regardless of the state of the battery being charged. The top speed of the iCube and iQube S is said to be 78 kmph, which goes up to 82 kmph on the iCube ST.
The new TVS iCube is available with three charging options. This includes 650-watt, 950-watt and 1.5 kW capacities. The model comes with shockproof AC plug, spike arrester and auto shutdown. The BMS controls over-voltage, over current and high temperature. The battery is IP67 rated and receives an aluminum casing and is AIS 156 certified. The updated iQube is designed to go into idle mode every other minute when it’s not running. It provides an additional level of security. The model also gets a unique modular harness architecture to separate the low and high voltage systems to reduce the possibility of a short circuit.

Different connected techs are offered in electric scooters. This model comes with the option of a 5-inch, TFT screen, 7-inch TFT screen with HMI interaction and 7-inch TFT dashboard with HMI and touch interaction. SmartXonnect also offers various connected suites. It includes a new UI and UX which provides a simpler look. The new Infinity theme allows customization options on the digital cluster. You can also change the color. The app also gives you details about the scooter’s range and important functions. The cluster also displays turn-by-turn navigation, as well as call, missed call alerts, messages and social media notifications. You can also pause, skip, or control the volume of the music. The new iCube is also compatible with Alexa.
