3 main accused involved in the murder of BJP youth wing leader arrested in Karnataka

BJP youth wing leader Praveen Nettar was murdered outside his poultry shop in Dakshina Kannada district.

In a major breakthrough, three key accused in the murder of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha leader Praveen Nettar have been arrested, a senior police officer said on Thursday.

Dakshina Kannada Police has secured three people who were part of the hit squad in the Bellare case in the murder of Praveen Nettar. We had certain information so we have arrested them from Talpadi on the Karnataka-Kerala border. ” Police Alok Kumar said.

Those arrested are: Shia alias Shiabuddin, Bashir and Riyaz Antadka.

All three are natives of Dakshina Kannada district, Mr Kumar told reporters, adding that seven others who were involved in the conspiracy and followed up the attackers have already been arrested.

“We are going to thoroughly interrogate him as to why Nettar was chosen as the target,” the ADGP said.

“They will be questioned as to who else helped them, what places they went to, who gave them shelter and helped them financially. All these things will be investigated and after that we will hand them over to the National Investigation Agency,” he said. As the government has done. He also said that six vehicles, including five two-wheelers and one four-wheeler, were used in the murder. The weapon used will have to be confiscated. The case will be handed over to the NIA after the investigation is completed, Mr Kumar said.

The attackers allegedly used a motorcycle which was registered in Kerala. Tension had been created in parts of the district after the murder of Nettar (aged 32) who was killed outside a poultry shop in Bellare in Dakshina Kannada district on July 26.
