Karimnagar, Telangana:
Three railway workers were killed when a Rajdhani Express was hit near the Peddapalli district headquarters in Telangana on Tuesday.
According to police, Durgaiah, a railway employee from Mahabubabad, contract worker Pegda Srinivas (Peddapalli) and Venu (Sultanabad) were working on a railway track at Peddapalli.
“At around 4 pm today Rajdhani Express going from New Delhi to Bangalore rammed the trio,” police said.
Police said it was said that a goods train was moving to another track and the three did not anticipate the arrival of Rajdhani Express on the track they were working on.
Railway Police said that the matter is being investigated. Police said the bodies have been sent to the government hospital in Peddapalli for postmortem.
