India reported a total of 4,270 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, a 7.8% increase from yesterday. This brings the total caseload to 4,31,76,817. Kerala recorded the maximum in the last 24 hours with 1,465 fresh infections.
Kerala has 1,465 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 1,357 cases, Delhi with 405 cases, Karnataka with 222 cases and Haryana with 144 cases among the top five states that have recorded the highest number of cases.
Of the new cases, 84.14 per cent cases have been reported from these five states, with Kerala alone accounting for 34.31 per cent of the new cases. India’s active caseload is 24,052. There has been an increase of 1,636 active cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 15 deaths have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 5,24,692.
India’s recovery rate is now 98.73%. A total of 2,619 patients were cured in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured patients across the country to 4,26,28,073.
India has given a total of 11,92,427 doses in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of doses administered to 1,94,09,46,157. A total of 4,13,699 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
