Established in 1902, Nahoums is considered the last permanent Jewish bakery in the city. It is located in the New Market area (in the Esplanade) and gives you the ultimate culture tour at first sight. With basic construction, stained glass windows and vintage set up, this place is imbued with old world charm and remains a hit among every food lover in Kolkata. We suggest trying their classic brownies, rum balls and ginger/butter cookies – each of these foods is sure to evoke nostalgia.
Flury’s:
Another historic cake shop in town is Flury’s. The place was located in 1927 and has been on a high ever since.
