1. Timepass 3 (ZEE5)

The third installment of the franchise returns with a young Dagdu who is all set to venture into the world of college. Dagdu wants to turn a new leaf and almost succeeds – until he falls for a boisterous girl, Palvi (Hrita Durgule). Palvi, the daughter of a powerful don Dinkar Patil aka DP (Sanjay Narvekar), falls in love with Dagdu’s newfound chivalrous, soft-spoken, gentlemanly demeanor. But will his old sweetheart Prajakta’s father villain-in-chief Madhav Lele aka Shakal (Vaibhav Mangal) allow this new ‘love story’ to flourish?

2. Congratulations (Netflix)

One of the most favorite movies of the year, it stars Raj Kumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. The story of the film revolves around a gay police officer Shardul Thakur (Rajkumar Rao) and a gay teacher Sumi Singh (Bhumi Pednekar), who decide to get married to keep their sexuality a secret. The way both can hide their personal life from the rest of the plot.

3. Atithi Bhooto Bhava (ZEE5)

The film stars Jackie Shroff, Prateek Gandhi and Sharmin Sehgal in the lead roles. The story of the film revolves around Shrikant Shirodkar (Pratik Gandhi), a standup comedian and Netra Banerjee (Sharmin Sehgal) and the presence of the ghost of Makhan Singh (Jackie Shroff) wreaks havoc in the lives of two people. A connection with Srikanth’s soul from a previous birth. The film also unfolds two love stories in different time zones which will surely make you feel in love.

4. Bhavai (ZEE5)

Religion and culture have blinded the society. ‘Bhavai’ beautifully highlights the above issue which exposes the double standards of the society. Set against the backdrop of Ram-Leela in Khakhar village, the story follows the dream of Raja-Ram who wants to become an actor since childhood. Being a resident of a village, he is deprived of that opportunity and has the wings to fly high. Bhavai bridges the gap between right and wrong and sheds light on the irrational beliefs, and mental barriers that are prevalent in society influencing people’s thoughts and actions. Will Raja-Rama and Rani (his girlfriend) be able to survive these obstacles or will they succumb to it? Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Bhavai stars Prateek Gandhi, Aindrita Ray, Flora Saini, Rajendra Gupta, Rajesh Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh, Ankur Vikal, Ankur Bhatia, Gopal K Singh, Anil Rastogi and Bhagyashree Mote.

5. College Romance 3 (Sony Liv)

Bagga, Naira, Karan and Dipika are back and so are their dilemmas as they move into their senior year. Young adults deal with issues related to romance, friendship and emotions as they meet new people and try to understand the complexities of life. Bagga and Naira’s long distance relationship, Karan’s secret romance, Trippy’s disappearance, Bagga cheating on Naira, Dipika’s quest and some new juniors catch friends struggling to keep the bond intact in this new season. Huh.
