The US Geological Survey (USGS) said a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the seas near Fiji on Monday.
The USGS said the quake was at a depth of 10 km (six miles), and was centered about 85 km (53 mi) west of the Fiji city of Labasa.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) also reported the quake, but described it as 6.1 magnitude and 40 km (25 mi) deep.
