Six people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a tempo in Maharashtra’s Beed district on Sunday morning.
The accident took place at around 5.30 am on the Manjarasumba-Patoda highway, he said.
According to preliminary information, a family of Jivachiwadi village in Kej tehsil was going to Pune in a car when their car and tempo collided, a police official said.
Five members of the family and one other person died, the official said.
He said the police had to use a crane to separate the two vehicles.
Police said the process of identifying the victims is on.
