Rakshit Shetty-starrer 777 Charlie has turned out to be a dream run at the box office. The film was released in five languages and received an overwhelming response worldwide. After 25 days of release, producer Rakshit Shetty has finally revealed about the total collection of the film.
Rakshit said that the film has earned a whopping Rs 150 crore worldwide. He claimed that the phenomenal success was due to the hard work of the team, and that he was showing his satisfaction by sharing 10 percent of the profit with the film’s crew, who have worked hard to get the film released successfully.
The filmmakers have decided to not only share some amount with the film crew but also give 5 per cent of the earnings to the dog Charlie. Rakshit said that NGOs and rescue centers will be helped in Charlie’s name.
The film was screened in more than 100 centers in Karnataka every day. The film also received good response in other countries including Mauritius and Japan. The film’s distributor Karthik Gowda told that this Sunday the film earned more than 1 crore.
Actress Sangeeta Sringeri also spoke about the success of the film. He said that usually the success of a love story depends on the heroine, but it is not true here. He is getting good response for this film and the house is happy with the film seeing full theatre.
Child actress Sharvari was appreciated for her stellar performance in the film. Her endearing role alongside Charlie inspired many to watch the film from time to time. The film’s director Kiran Raj said that failure teaches a lot and victory is visible in many ways. He has already done three films as an assistant director, and has seen both victories and defeats. After 777 Charlie completes 25 days in the theatre, he knows his efforts for the film have paid off.
