84 years married, more than 100 grandchildren: Brazil’s epic love story

A Brazilian couple, Mananol Angelim Dino, 105, and 101 -year -old Maria de Susa Dino have set a new Guinness World Record for the longest wedding for a living couple. She was awarded the title after her marriage, which took place in 1940, was verified by the Guinness World Records and Longwusth, a site that tracks the centenary life. As Valentine’s Day, the couple had been married for 84 years and 77 days.

As Guinness World Records, Manoel (born 1919) and Maria (born 1923, Meden name Almida de Suja) first met in 1936 working in agriculture for their families. Manoel traveled to the Boa Viazem district to collect a shipment of Rapaduras (a traditional Brazilian Candy), where he made his acquaintance, but was not a few years later that he started a relationship.

In fact, not much happened in his original meeting, and it was only after a chance encounter around 1940 that Manoel decided that Maria was the person with whom he wanted to spend his life. He fell in love with the first (well, technically second) visually in love and it was determined not to let the opportunity move again, so declared his feelings for Maria and asked him, so that he Yes said.

Maria’s mother was initially against the relationship, so Manoel had to earn her family’s trust and soon started building a house for the future that she would share.

After receiving the family approval, in 1940, Manole and Maria Wade built a life together in their home, working to sell tobacco rolled to selling and supporting their growing family. It was a conflict, but they were able to raise 13 children, who later blessed him with 55 grandchildren, 54 great-granddaughters and now 12 great-grandson.

Now both centuries, their days are spent peacefully. Due to her age, Mansael is mostly managed during the day, but often joins Maria in the living room in the evening, which to listen to Rosary Prayer on the radio at 6 pm, then to listen to the television month.

So, what is the secret of a long -lasting marriage? Well, according to Maria and her family, it is simple: love. And it is anything that can never calculate the most advanced computer.
