Weight Loss Story: “I Stopped Eating White Rice, Flour & Oily Foods, Lost 20kg” The Times of India

Earlier I had a lot of white rice, maida, oily food, ghee, butter, salt, spices, sugar etc., but I have completely eliminated all of them. I only have whole grains, vegetables and lean meats. Portion control is key. I had my last meal before 8 pm and I made sure it was light.

Lessons learned from losing weight: Do your research thoroughly. One size does not fit all. One person will say that eggs are bad, another will say that it is healthy. So make your choice through systematic research. I also realized that one does not need a lot of food. It is a common Indian misconception that you need lots of rice, chapatis and curries followed by sweets. Portion control, calorie reduction and eating right are the keys.
