He says that Congress has taken the issue of breach of PM’s security seriously and is not looking at it politically.
Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Saturday said the BJP was trying to divert attention from the basic issues facing the country by indulging in drama. He said that change is certain in the upcoming five state elections.
Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Patole said, “Congress is ready… However, BJP is trying to divert attention from basic issues by indulging in drama,” he said.
“When they are out of power, they want to save the country, and when in power, they want to save themselves. People have understood this kind of thinking and hence change is certain.
Speaking about the Prime Minister’s ‘security breach’ line, Mr. Patole said, “We are saying that the Congress and the country have lost two Prime Ministers because of the security lapse. Hence, the party took the issue seriously. And not looking at it politically.”
Mr Patole asked why the route given by the MHA was changed at the last minute and how the BJP supporters reached the spot where the convoy was stuck. “These points should be probed and the Supreme Court has ordered an inquiry.”
