Grow Receives Satya Nadella Investor & Advisor, CEO Announcement

India’s online investment platform Grow on Saturday announced that Microsoft Corporation President and CEO Satya Nadella has joined the company as an investor and advisor.

“Grove gets one of the world’s best CEOs as an investor and advisor. Thrilled to join @satyanadella in our mission to make financial services accessible in India,” tweeted Lalit Keshare, CEO of Grow this morning. ”

The company is yet to disclose details about the financial portion of Satya Nadella’s involvement.

In October 2021, Grow raised USD 251 million (approx.) 1,885 crore) in a funding round led by Iconic Growth, at a valuation of USD 3 billion.

Investors such as Alken, Lone Pine Capital and Steadfast also participated in the Series E funding round. Grow’s existing investors Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, YC Continuity, Tiger Global and Propel Ventures also participated.

Founded in 2016 by four former Flipkart executives – Lalit Keshare, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh and Ishaan Bansal – Grow’s platform allows users to invest in direct mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), stocks and IPOs. It also provides tools for stock and portfolio analysis for investors.

The company claims to have over 20 million users on its platform, with 70% of its investors coming from Tier-2 and 3 geographies.
