Indian street food has a lot of delicious offerings to eat. Walk around the country and you will find plenty of street-style dishes that will swoon your taste buds. One popular dish that you can find practically everywhere in India is the humble golgappas. The tangy and spicy golgappa has countless varieties, variations and even names according to the different states where it is served. However, a special golgappa made with chowmein topping has raised eyebrows on the internet. Yes, this dish is real and it exists. Here’s a look at the bizarre creation:

The video was shared on Instagram by radio jockey and vlogger Rohan, who goes by the handle @radiokarohan. “Chef Kandi Chowmein Golgappe,” read the caption Post Which is being told of Lucknow. The entire making of Golgappa was shared on Reels, where it has garnered 56.5k views and 2.2k likes.
First, golgappa vendors prepare the dish in the usual style – stuffing it with sliced potatoes and tamarind chutney. Then, comes the bizarre twist in which a layer of chowmein is poured over the golgappas. weird chowmein GOLGAPPA This is followed by more tamarind chutney, curd, candied fruit, grated coconut and chopped coriander. Not only this – Golgappa was served with two spicy chutneys.
While both chowmein and golgappa are popular dishes in India, this fusion recipe of both did not go down well with internet users. Many people have questioned why Plate was built in the first place.
