A man was filmed riding on the bonnet of a car in Mumbai

Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested two persons for allegedly performing dangerous car stunts near Bandra Worli Sea Link. According to news agency PTI, Imran Zaheer Alam Ansari (27) and Gulfam Sabir Ansari (25) had gone near the sea bridge on Monday night. An official said that while Gulfam was driving the car, Imran was sitting on the bonnet.

The two ran into trouble when a passerby shot a video and tweeted it tagging the official Twitter account of Mumbai Police. In the video, a group of people are seen inside a white colored car, while one person is sitting on the bonnet. The occupants – some of whom appeared to be without masks – were filmed cheering as they were driven by another car.

Twitter user Amit Patil, who shot the entire scene, shared the clip and wrote, “Please take action.” He said the car was going towards Bandra via Sea Link.

After the video reached Mumbai Police, along with the driver of the car, the person sitting on its bonnet was also arrested. Mumbai Police said they checked the car registration numbers to identify and arrest the accused.

The deputy said, “Based on the car registration number, we arrested Imran and Gulfam from Kurla. Both the accused have been charged under IPC sections 279 (hasty and negligent driving) and 336 (causing damage to life or personal safety of others). was charged under.” Bandra Police Inspector Anandrao Kashid.

This is not the first time that a viral video has landed thrill-seekers in hot water. Last year, a case of speeding and dangerous driving was registered against two motorcyclists from Mumbai. video of his stunt spread rapidly.
