Terming fake news as “soft and sweet”, the Rajasthan Police on Wednesday asked people to stop its spread at the earliest.
On Chocolate Day, Force tweeted a picture of a chocolate bar that read, “Choke the Fake News, Don’t Be Late”.
It tweeted in Hindi, “#FakeNews is #SoftAndSweet as chocolate. You also bring #real sweetness to the lives of others with #Facts, don’t mix bitterness with #rumours.”
A day earlier on Tuesday, which was the Valentine’s Week Propose Day, police tweeted an instructional photo asking people to be careful while forwarding messages on social media.
The force asked people to consider the source of any news, cross-check it and carefully check its date, photo and spelling before forwarding it.
