The actor took to social media to share her look, dubbing the character Shakuntala, “nature’s darling… supernatural and unclean”. In the poster, she is seen in the forest in a white dress and floral ornaments.

In the film, which released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, actor Dev Mohan played the role of King Dushyanta of the Puru dynasty. Meanwhile, the makers of the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Yashoda Directed by Samantha, shared glimpses of the lavish sets created for the film. Produced by Shivlenka Krishna Prasad of Sridevi Movies, the film is directed by Hari-Harish duo and also stars Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma.

According to producer Shivalenka Krishnaprasad, the set was designed at a cost of ₹3 crore under the supervision of art director Ashok: “About 30% to 40% of Y’s scenes Ashoka Happens at the same place. We visited many star hotels but it would have been difficult to film for 35 to 40 days. So we decided to build a set on two floors at Ramanaidu Studio, Nanakramguda.
