new Delhi: Air India And Vistara will now accommodate each other’s domestic and international passengers if the airline’s flight is disrupted for any reason.
Air India’s “Interline Consideration on Irregular Operations” (IROP) agreement with Vistara comes just two weeks after it was signed with AirAsia India (AAIPL) for domestic passengers, indicating growing synergy between Tata group airlines . Both agreements are valid for two. year, within which the group will finalize the contours of its airline business.
AAIPL does not currently fly international passenger flights, so the Maharaja’s IROPs were only for domestic flights. However, Vistara has both domestic and international passenger flights.
“This arrangement will enable the airport teams of both AI and Vistara to offer alternate first available flights to minimize inconvenience to passengers…,” it says.
Baggage allowance of the transferring airline as shown on the original ticket will be applicable for passengers accepted by the accepting airline.
The synergy and operation of the four airlines in its group is going to be a major American one for the Tata group.
