National Culture Festival

The Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav, a flagship event of the Union Ministry of Culture, will be held from April 1 to 3 at the NTR Stadium in Hyderabad. The National Cultural Festival seeks to promote and popularize traditional Indian culture and heritage. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the program.

On the first day, at 8 p.m., Bharatanatyam exponent Ananda Shankar Jayant and his team of 18 dancers will begin the classical dance section with ‘Vande Bharat Mataram’, a poem by Telugu poet Rayaprolu Subba Rao praising the motherland. Is. This will be followed by ‘Sri Rama Nama’, a dance choreography that brings to life the devotional Telugu poetry and music of Badarachal Ramadas, the saint-bard from Telangana, whose compositions are popular in South India. The 45-minute program culminates with ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, a dance dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will perform at 9 pm.

Folk artists will perform from 7 pm on April 2, followed by a classical music ‘Taal India’ by Banyan Tree. The music composer of the Telugu film SS Thaman will perform at 9 pm.

On the last day on April 3, there will be a classical dance by Jayaprabha Menon followed by performances by local and folk artists.

The grand finale of the fest will be a musical performance by L Subrahmanyam and Kavita Krishnamurthy at 9 pm.
