The dog was garlanded with flowers and as per custom, as is done for pregnant women, the family members also performed puja for the dog. The dog was dressed in new clothes. The female member of the house was seen wearing glass bangles to the dog. Sweets and fruits were also offered for worship. Five different types of rice were prepared on this occasion.
