IT major Wipro Limited on Friday appointed Anees Chencha as a member of the Wipro Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer, APMEA (Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa).
Anees has over two decades of experience in Consulting, IT and Business Process Services. Wipro said he joins Capgemini where he was Global CEO of Capgemini Business Services and a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Prior to this, Anees held various leadership roles at Capgemini Financial Services across Europe and the Middle East.

NS Bala, who has been the CEO of APMEA Strategic Markets Unit for the past one year, has decided to move back to the US due to personal reasons.
Wipro shares closed up 0.71% on Friday 585 each on NSE.
