Telangana: Car hits bike, 3 of family killed in Kodad Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Three persons were killed and two of their family members injured when a speeding car rammed into a flyover in Kodad on Thursday evening. Due to the high speed collision, some people fell on the road under the flyover. The police have reportedly taken the driver into custody.
At around 7.30 pm, a car coming from Vijayawada towards Hyderabad rammed into the bike of the victims on the Melcheruvu flyover in Kodad town. Srinivas, a 32-year-old laborer from Nalabandgudem, his 29-year-old wife Nagamani and their three daughters were going from Nallabandgudem to Sitaramapuram on a bike for personal work when the accident happened on the flyover.
The victim fell down from the bike due to the high speed collision. “Some of the victims fell on the flyover, while others – Srinivas, Nagamani and their eldest daughter Usha Sri, six – crashed on the Melacharuvu road under the flyover. Srinivas died on the spot, while Nagamani and Usha Sri received treatment. Suryapet SP Rajendra Prasad said.
Two other daughters of the couple were shifted to the hospital in Khammam and their condition is stable.
Minister Erabeli Dayakar Rao, who was passing by, stopped at the accident site and coordinated with the police to take the victims to the hospital.
