After leading a rainy qualifying session yesterday, Max Verstappen managed to get home sprint Plus, with a sensational overtake to take the lead in the 20th lap. Red Bull driver scored maximum points Emilia Romagna Grand Prix sprint, then Charles Leclerc Scuderia Ferrari, who finished +2.975 seconds behind after giving the lead in the final moments.

Sergio Perez completed the podium spot bringing the team 6 points. Carlos Sainz in fourth place, followed by Lando Norris in fifth, Daniel Ricciardo in sixth, Valtteri Bottas in seventh and Kevin Magnussen in eighth – is the place to grab the last point on offer today. Fernando Alonso and Mick Schumacher will start tomorrow’s main race in ninth and tenth places respectively.
While George Russell led today’s final free practice session before the sprint, the young Mercedes driver had a disappointing 21-lap sprint. However, he still managed to beat his experienced partner – Lewis Hamilton, who has seen a huge drop in form, and starts tomorrow’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in 14th place. The two Mercedes drivers were separated by Yuki Tsunoda and Sebastian Vettel in 12th and 13th respectively.
