IPL 2022: MS Dhoni to lead CSK again; Ravindra Jadeja resigns

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will once again take the lead as the captain of Chennai Super Kings as Ravindra Jadeja announced his step down as the leader of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team on Saturday. This team has come in the current edition of IPL after losing six out of their eight matches. According to an official statement, Jadeja has decided to resign to concentrate and focus more on his game.

CSK’s official Twitter handle said, Jadeja will hand over CSK’s captaincy back to MS Dhoni Is. MS Dhoni has admitted to leading CSK in the larger interest and allowing Jadeja to focus on his game.

Jadeja- Was part of the team since 2012. He became the third player after Dhoni and Suresh Raina to lead the Super Kings. During the beginning of this season, Dhoni handed over the captaincy to him.

Apart from severely suffering CSK in the IPL, Jadeja’s own game has also suffered due to the pressure that comes with the responsibility of leadership as he has so far scored only 112 runs in eight matches and picked up five wickets.
