Delhi University 1st Cut Off List on 1st October, What’s Next?

NS Delhi University (DU) wThe first cut-off list will be released on October 1. A special cut-off is also released by the university after the third merit list. Once declared, students will be able to check the merit list on the official website of DU – du.ac.in. This year the cut-off in the first merit is expected to reach 100%.

Candidates appearing in the first merit list will be called for counseling which includes document verification, seat allotment and payment of fee. The admission process is likely to start from October 4. Once the cut-off list is released, students will get around three days to apply for admission.

DU Admission 2021: Documents Required

Candidates who make it to the first cut off list should keep the following documents ready for the admission process:

– Class 10 pass certificate indicating date of birth and name of parents

– class 12 mark sheet

– Government Identity Proof like Aadhar Card or Voter Card

SC, ST, OBC, EWS, CW, KM certificate (in the name of the applicant) issued by the competent authority, if applicable

– OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued by the competent authority (in the name of the applicant), if applicable

– EWS certificate, if applicable

– Any applicant claiming admission through ECA and Sports categories will have to upload the self-attested copies of the relevant certificates

Candidates unable to make place in the first merit list will have to wait for the second list. In 2020, DU released a total of five merit lists. Admissions to DU affiliated colleges for most undergraduate (UG) courses are conducted on the basis of class 12 marks. DU takes into account the percentage of top four scoring subjects in Class 12, also known as the best of four formula.
