Mumbai: Key Juma Masjid Bombay Trust issued a statement on Saturday saying, “It is wholeheartedly accepted”. Supreme court Orders to avoid use of loudspeakers for Azaan from 10.00 PM to 6.00 AM”.
Morning fajr Namaz is what comes within the scope of these times.
Affiliated mosques of the trust have reportedly agreed to comply.
trust chairman shuaib khatibo “We are developing an Azan App for Mobile Phones which will enable every user in every region to receive the sound of Azan at the right time in the comfort of their home.”
Khatib also called upon the mosque management to explain the importance of involving the local non-Muslim community, bringing them to mosques and calling the faithful to pray through the age-old practice of azan.
“Let our mosques double as community centres. Let our leaders lead the way in clearing misunderstandings and preventing such issues from coming up again and again,” he said.
