‘Baby Dinosaur’ footage gave netizens a double take.
A video going viral on social media shows several “baby dinosaurs” running through the water on the beach, leaving netizens in complete shock. “It took me a few seconds..” read the caption of the video. It has been shared by Buitengebieden on Twitter. The 14-second video shows creatures that look very similar to the long-necked dinosaur species. Since being uploaded, the video has garnered nearly 14 million views along with many comments. Have a look at the video:

While some netizens were left in complete shock, others quickly recognized that the species was not a dinosaur but Cotis. They are also known as coatimundis and are a member of the Procyonidae family. They are commonly native to South America, Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States. The coat’s paws are similar to those of a bear or raccoon.
“I thought those little dinosaur brontosaurus kids were walking,” wrote one person in the comments section. Another person wrote, “I showed it to my 9 year old son and it took him a few seconds to figure out what’s going on. Took me a million years, this is the effect of watching Jurassic movies for the rest of your life.” “Every time I watch this video I think how the fuck nobody saw because the first time I saw it I was like “Why are they playing it upside down,” wrote another person.
