PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Sunday claimed that his party will form the government in Tamil Nadu in 2026.
Addressing the party cadre in Salem, he claimed that Tamil Nadu would develop if the PMK ruled the state for one term. According to him, PMK is the only party which is talking of politics of development while others are doing politics with Tamils and gods.
The party currently had only two MLAs in Salem and should win all 11 seats in the district in the next elections. If PMK comes to power, Mettur surplus water scheme will be implemented in two years and their first consent for complete prohibition in the state. PMK will definitely get 10.5% internal reservation for Vanniyar community and this will help in their education and employment.
He told reporters that Salem district should be divided into three parts for administrative convenience. The DMK government should issue an action plan to implement its election promise of gradually reducing the number of Tasmac outlets. The government should not be run only on the basis of income from sale of liquor.
Describing the youth as drug addicts, he urged the government to take strict action against it. On the increase in the prices of fuel and LPG, Mr Anbumani said that the governments should reduce the tax on fuel as it is badly affecting the livelihood of the people. He also criticized the state government for hike in property tax and demanded that bus fares should not be increased.
