WhatsApp which is a popular messaging app plans to drop support for iOS 10, iOS 11 and iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c by October 24 this year. The least support base will be iOS 12 and above to fully enjoy the features of WhatsApp
It is also being upgraded by the messaging platform and implements the new changes and also enhances the security of the platform. Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced the withdrawal of support for the older version of iOS.
Due to this update, many features of WhatsApp will not be available to iPhone users worldwide and will be available only to those who are still using older iOS versions.
Devices running iOS 10 and iOS 11 will not be able to work properly with all the features after that. Users of iOS 10 and iOS 11 will no longer be able to install WhatsApp from the App Store as a result of the update.
Apple iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C are not compatible with iOS 12 and hence these users will not be able to use WhatsApp as the new changes start rolling in. WhatsApp simply means upgrading the security of chats and other in-app features.
