Brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor Siddhant Kapoor He has now been released on bail after being arrested on Monday after his medical report confirmed his drug use.
According to the police, the other four detained persons have also been released on bail.
DCP East Bengaluru Bhima Shankar Guld said that Siddhant Kapoor and four others will have to appear before the police.
Siddhant Kapoor was detained by the Bengaluru Police earlier in the day for allegedly consuming drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night.
Bhimashankar S Guled, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Bengaluru City Police said, “He had consumed drugs at Siddhant Kapoor’s medical show. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We have sent him to judicial custody.” Will send.”
Acting on a tip-off, the police on Sunday night raided a hotel on MG Road in the city where a party was organized.
“Last night we got information that a party is going on and they have consumed drugs. We raided and detained 35 people. We did not find any drugs on his person, but found MDMA and ganja lying nearby. We will probe the CCTV to see who disposed of it,” said DCP Guled.
Samples of people suspected of drug abuse were sent for medical examination and Siddhant’s sample was among six that turned out to be positive. Police said it was not clear whether he had consumed drugs at the hotel or had come to the party after taking drugs outside.
“The hotel has been given notice, we have asked specific questions, they have to be answered. Bengaluru city police has declared war on drugs and this was part of it. Earlier in the month, we had conducted a raid where 34 had tested positive for drugs,” added DCP East.
