Mysore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Led India in celebrating the 8th International Day of Yoga in the cultural capital of Karnataka On Tuesday, yoga and fitness revealed that yoga and fitness are forming the foundation for international collaboration and can be used to resolve conflicts and problems.

This year’s celebration coincides with the 75th year of India’s independence, and for the first time, Modi led the celebrations in South India. Mass yoga demonstrations did not take place in 2020 or 2021 due to the pandemic. “Yoga has become an international festival today,” Modi said. “It is not limited to a single person, but it is for the entire humanity. Referring to the ‘mahrishis’ and the ‘acharyas’, Modi said, ‘Shanti’ [obtained] Yoga is not just for individuals. Yoga brings peace to our society, our nation, the world and ultimately our universe. He said that yoga makes one aware and capable of challenges. He said that millions of people with common consciousness and consensus, and millions with inner peace will create an environment for global peace and thus Yoga can connect people and countries and become a problem solver. “When we become aware of ourselves and our world, we begin to see things that need to be changed, both in ourselves and in the world,” he said. “They can be personal problems or global problems like climate change and international conflict.”

To increase productivity, Modi urged people to take out time and practice yoga. He added that a few minutes of meditation will “definitely relax the mind and soul” and increase productivity. He touched upon the concept of ‘Guardian Ring of Yoga’, the practice of celebrating Yoga Day in 75 countries across 16 time zones.
