The popularity of Pakistani songs in India is a clear indication that music transcends all boundaries and brings people together. A video is winning hearts on social media, showing two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) officers performing the music of the famous Pakistani song, “Afreen Afreen”.
It was sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustahsan at Coke Studio Season 9 in 2016. It was originally built by his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Sharing the video on Instagram, ITBP said in the caption, “Afreen Afreen… Constable Vikram Jeet Singh of ITBP sings. Constable A Nelly plays the guitar.”
In the video, one constable is seen playing the guitar while the other is singing a song.
Users were impressed with the performance and left heartfelt comments on the video.
One user wrote, ‘Good sir, mind blowing. “Can’t stop listening,” said another.
“Charmed sir,” wrote a third.
In the past few months, several video and instrumental versions of the famous ‘Pasuri’ song sung by Pakistani artists Ali Sethi and Shay Gill have gone viral on social media.
One of them showed a woman singing a song while doing the kitchen work.
