Petrol, diesel prices hiked in metro cities

Petrol prices in Delhi were hiked by 30 paise per liter on Wednesday. With this, the new price of petrol in the national capital has now reached a new high of Rs 102.94 per liter. Diesel price has increased by 35 paise to Rs 91.42 per liter in New Delhi. Petrol prices in Mumbai have been increased by 29 paise. It is now selling at Rs 108.96 per liter and diesel prices have gone up to 37 paise and Rs 99.17 per liter today.

The price of petrol and diesel in Chennai was Rs 100.49 and Rs 95.93 per liter respectively, while the price of petrol and diesel in Kolkata was Rs 103.65 and Rs 94.53 per liter respectively.

In Kolkata, the price of petrol was increased by 29 paise per liter and diesel by 36 paise per liter, while in Chennai it was increased by 26 paise per liter and diesel by 34 paise.

Rates have been increased across the country and vary from state to state depending on the incidence of Value Added Tax.

Fuel prices are increasing continuously across the country and have crossed Rs 100 in many states.
