Colombo: Sri Lanka Army deployed near tanks Parliament on Thursday to prevent protesters from entering Parliament.
Protesters stormed the Prime Minister’s Office on Flower Road in Sri Lanka on Wednesday after clashes Army Corps, The island nation has been hit by a severe economic and political crisis.

Currently, Sri Lanka is facing acute shortage of fuel and other essential supplies and is battling its worst economic crisis coupled with rising inflation. The lack of oil supply has forced the closure of schools and government offices until further notice.
Decline in domestic agricultural production, depletion of foreign exchange reserves and depreciation of local currency have fueled the shortfall.
