TeaImprovements in the road network and quality of roads in India have led to an increase in the number of people traveling by road in their private vehicles. The increase in the number of people taking road trips has prompted entrepreneurs to set up restaurants on the highways.
Food choices are increasing.
However, a problem remains. People complain about the lack of public toilets and rest rooms on the highways. The challenge is even greater for people with disabilities.

Lavato is a pay-and-use toilet. But, Lavato is not established by the government or any NGO. This is a business venture of Naveen Singh.
Naveen is a marketing professional who has worked with Reliance Petroleum, ICICI Bank, American Express Group of Companies among others before founding Lavato. He has completed Executive General Management Program (EGMP) from IIM Bangalore.
“Lack of toilets on highways is a big problem,” he says. The number of people traveling by road has increased, yet you are not getting a single good toilet. I set out to deal with this pain point.”
