Twitter threads have shown various examples of color changes over the years.
A Twitter user has posted a long thread on the micro-blogging website, claiming that the use of colors in everyday life has reduced. Posted by The Culture Tutor, the thread has used side-by-side images of cars, the interior of homes, and even McDonald’s outlets to show how vibrant colors from the 1970s and ’80s were. use has decreased. The Twitter thread begins with a spectrum analysis of colors from 1800 to 2020 and shows that gray is becoming more common. “If you think the world is becoming increasingly colorless, you’re not imagining it. The Twitter thread also features side-by-side photos of a 1970s house with a modern design that shows how gray has replaced other colors.
An analysis by the Science Museum in 2020 also showed similar results. The study had arranged the objects in the museum – old on the left and recent times on the right.
