what happened to the google search timer
This feature is not completely out as users can give voice commands (either through Search or Google Assistant) to their smartphone to set the timer and it will work partially. On Android devices, Google will use the phone’s Clock app to create a notification widget and set the required timer.
However, it will not work when users enter text commands on mobile or desktop to set the timer. The report mentions that there is some hope that Google Assistant can build bridges to fill the gap and the company may soon reveal more about the feature in the Pixel feature drop.

The tech giant has not shared any official information regarding the removal of this feature. However, the report states that the Google search timer is “obsolete” and unnecessary because nowadays, there are many tools and software platforms available.
