This scene throws light on a recurring problem of this village.

Bangalore:

In a heart-wrenching video from a village in Karnataka, a group of villagers are seen walking through chest-deep water, carrying a corpse on their shoulders. The scene highlights the recurring problem of this village, which comes under the constituency of Araga Gyanendra, the state’s home minister.

Death creates havoc for loved ones, but in the rainy season in this village, the residents here are more afraid of it.

Every time it rains, the roads leading to the graveyard in Kodlu village of Shivamogga district get waterlogged, residents complain. According to him, the roads get flooded during the monsoon season.

They have been pleading for a solution for several months but till now they have not got any help from the administration.

Many parts of Karnataka have been receiving torrential rains since the onset of monsoon. There have been reports of breaching of several lakes and submergence of low-lying areas in several districts of North and South Interior Karnataka.
