Thiruvananthapuram:
A 60-year-old housewife was allegedly murdered by a migrant worker from West Bengal and her body dumped in a well near her house in Keshavdaspuram area of the Kerala capital, police said.
Police said the incident happened on Sunday evening when the woman was alone at her home in the city.
Police said the woman and her husband were the only people living there and the migrant worker worked in their house.
The body was found from the well during the search for the woman after her husband went missing on her return home.
An official of the Medical College police station, under whose jurisdiction the crime was committed, said they have identified the culprit and efforts are on to trace him.
He also said that the inquiry is on in the matter.
Police said that robbery is believed to be the reason behind the murder.
