The objective of the commission is to stop POCSO atrocities in the state and ensure all necessary assistance to the survivors.
Kerala Child Rights Panel is getting ready to conduct awareness classes for teachers in government and aided schools of the state on POCSO Act and its various aspects. Officials said that in view of the increasing incidents of sexual harassment against children at various places in the recent past, teachers will be given guidance on the steps to be taken if such cases are reported.
He said that the first set of such classes would be held in the capital district. Panel sources said the classes would be conducted under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority.

He said that the aim of the commission is to stop POCSO atrocities in the state and ensure all necessary assistance to the victims. During the recent meeting of various officers regarding the implementation of the Act at the district level, it was decided to conduct awareness classes here.
In the meeting held under the aegis of panel member PP Shyamladevi, the progress and current status of various cases registered under the POCSO Act in the district were also evaluated.
