How the EV Super app can help improve EV usage in India substantially – Times of India

Earlier this month, the government announced that India will soon get a Master App that will serve as a one-stop-shop solution for all details related to an electric vehicle. EV super app The range is expected to be able to reduce the concern and hence help boost the use of EVs in the country. State-run Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL) is in the process of collating information from various sectors for the app to be launched in the coming weeks.
What does it do EV Super App Involved?
App EV. will provide information about the availability, location, type and tariff of charging station around them and allow them to make or change reservations for the same. The app will also have information shared by OEMs, which in turn will increase visibility and traffic at private charging stations.
The EV Super App will not only act as a location service for chargers, but will also be a platform that will promote the use of electric vehicles, while also providing benefits to not only EV users but all stakeholders of the EV ecosystem.
CESL has accordingly designed a service procurement model to involve the private sector for setting up the charging ecosystem. CESL will partner with companies that will invest in and operate these stations on expressways and highways, which will enable owners to take their EVs for longer inter-state journeys. CESL plans to set up 10,000 charging stations over the next three years under the FAME II initiative.

The launch of EV Super App will be beneficial for all. Yes, it’s a great idea as the app will improve EV usage in general, tackle range anxiety, and support an ambitious plan for widespread adoption of electric vehicles in India.
AMO Electric Bikes benefit greatly from such app-based features as they are in line with our company’s goals. Our electric bike customers will appreciate it when the app discusses the availability of charging stations, charger models and charging rates.
The launch of the EV Super App will be valuable to both the brand AMO Electric Bikes and its partners as AMO Mobility Solutions is in the process of partnering with modest services including last-mile delivery, bike taxi and bike rental.

Rajeev K Vij, Founder of Plug Mobility
Government of India’s decision to come up with a Super App through CESL to provide availability, charge type, traffic and allow users to make bookings for charging their vehicles EV vehicle owners’ concerns about battery range Will go a long way in helping and overcome. Rapid adoption of electric vehicles across India.
Along with Super App, CESL’s announcement of involving private charge point operators in this initiative to set up and manage 10,000 charging points is also a welcome move.
It is also expected that all charging stations will become truly functional as many current charging stations are installed but not functional making them of no use to EV owners. It is important that all charging stations are in fully functional condition at all times and are easy to locate so that EV owners can actually access the locations where they are easily installed and use them to charge their vehicles. Huh.
