UP cabinet approves new guidelines for award of teachers – Times of India

Lucknow: The UP cabinet on Tuesday approved new guidelines for the selection of distinguished secondary education teachers. State Teacher Award And Chief Minister Teacher AwardMaking it more purposeful.
While government teachers will get the award on the day finalized by the chief minister (which was earlier December 25), teachers of self-financing colleges will be honored on September 5.
Under the revised rules, the Department of Secondary Education has linked the award to the performance of the students in the board examination. Teachers competing for rewards should ensure that performance of students in board exams Not less than 90% for the last five years.
Earlier, only the exam result was mentioned for the award and not the percentage. But now, only teachers or principals of those schools will be considered to have given 90% results for 5 consecutive years, the officials said.
Officials said the parameters were earlier more subjective, but have now been made more objective. As per the changes, there will be 18 teachers – one from each circle – who will be honoured. Each of these will have two headmasters and headmaster. In the new system, there will be different standards for headmasters/head teachers and teachers. There will be separate categories for the selection of Principal, Language Teacher and Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Agriculture, Commerce, Arts, Music and Exercise Teacher.
Under the new guidelines, a Teacher needs to get minimum 50% marks Which was 40% earlier. Now a committee will be formed at the Directorate level so that limited applications can be presented before the State Election Committee.
